Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn Sedgwick, born August 19, 1965 is an American actress. She is best known for her character as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. The seventh season of the show concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She was also in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), who was a speech instructor and educational/family therapy therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was Episcopalian. She was also of English origins. Sedgwick has declared that she is Jewish and participates in Passover meals.
